The revival of racing a Bo’ness brought out a large number of spectators considering the poor weather who were treated to a good range of historic motors on the original but somewhat shortened track, the bottom paddock from the original start through the court yard – dodging the houses and passed Kinnel House to the shortened finish.

Of the entry of 50 or so there were 2 Cooper Mk8 V-twins; Terry Wright in the supercharged Walton Cooper Mk8 and David Fyfe, and 2 500’s; Richard Bishop Miller in the 1948 Cooper Mk2 (back at Bo’ness after 60 years) and Douglas Turner at his very 1st outing in a JP 500, plus Vernon Williamson had brought down the GS I Squanderbug and his 2 JP’s, but as he was Clerk of Course they weren't used in anger.
