| Three 500s of
Bill Needham, Neil Hodges and Geoff Gartside joined the Formula Juniors for the HSCC race
at Cadwell Park. Classic Spring weather of sunshine and showers kept everyone guessing,
but the race was eventually run in dry conditions. Edwin Jowsey ran away and hid in the
Junoir category, winning from pole by 20 seconds.
Geoff Gartside had clutch problems in practice which re-appeared on the starting grid
and he failed to get away. Neil qualified on class pole but the engine lost power and
failed to finish leaving Bill to battle with the Juniors. He drove an excellent race to
take a well deserved the class win.
