This two lap BARC sprint was attended by a small enthusiastic group of four drivers and cars. We had a welcome and comparative newcomer to the sport in the form of Tony Hodson with a Cooper MK2. Humphrey Collis with his JLR F3, Jan Nycz with the beautifully prepared Staride Mk III and John Turner in his first sprint for 30 years, with his faithful Cooper Mk IX. Practice and the first timed runs took place in the rain but it finally dried up for the final runs resulting in much improved times. John Turner took the honours closely followed by Jan Nycz in the Staride. The intrepid 500 gang made up a team under the name of The Good the Bad & The Ugly which went on to win the Team event. An excellent meeting despite the rain.
