| 14 cars were
entered and all appeared for practice.All took to the grid but we lost Richard Fry, Steve
Jones (Cooper-JAP Mk 4) and Paul Hewes (Cooper-Norton Mk 8) on the warm up lap. James
Holland (Cooper JAP) clutch went on the grid and Geoff Gartside’s motor gave up the
ghost leaving 9 cars to start the race, with Richard Utley (JBS-Norton) having trouble
leaving the line. David Lecoq led chased hard by James Culver (Cooper-Vincent Mk 10)
until James dropped out after 7 laps leaving John Turner to take up the chase. At the end
of the 13 laps David was the clear winner by 45 seconds from John with Nick Leston just 2
seconds behind. 6 finished.
