Brian
Pentland of Victoria, Australia built his BJP 500 in the late '50s. The car featured a
swing axle at the rear, located by a trailing arm and upper transverse leaf spring. Front
suspension was by lower wishbones and upper transverse leaf spring. Stub axles, steering
and other components came from a Morris 8. A JAP engine drove through a Norton gearbox to
the rear wheels.

The BJP 500 is currently being restored in Australia. Our thanks to Terry Wright and
Graham Howard of "Loose Fillings" for the details. |
