The Second CFS was taken over by Don Parker from Charlie Smith after he was killed in practice for a motorbike race at Blandford. Don continued to develop the car and achieved several wins and placings in 1949 and 1950, including beating Stirling Moss before switching to Kieft.

A classic duel, Don in his Special leads Peter Collins in the 100 mile race at Silverstone, July 1949
