Heir to the Dupont chemical family and racing driver,
Alexis drove Coopers successfully including a second at Palm Beach in
December 1951, second at Giants Despair in July 1952 and second at Watkins
Glen in September. 1953 brought a third at Brynfan-Tyddyn in July and
a win at Thompson Raceway in September. In '54, he took a win at Mount
Equinox in June and finished second in the SCCA Formula 3 Championship. In
1955 he won at Brynfan-Tyddyn in July and came to England in 1959 to take a
third place in race 1 of the Lewis-Evans Trophy at Brands Hatch in August.
