A good turnout of members met at the Thistle Hotel, Cheltenham for the 2007 Annual General Meeting and Prize giving. The weather was atrocious (again) but, for once, it didn't matter!

The formal business was dealt with efficiently with reports from the Chairman and Secretaries. The Treasurer reported that the accounts are in good health with a significant sum on deposit for the first time in a number of years. Gordon Russell reminded us of the tremendously successful racing season and outlined a provisional calendar for 2008. The Registrar outlined the good progress on the VIF scheme which is now accepted as the most appropriate vehicle documentation for 500s. Those who hadn't yet registered were strongly encouraged to do so.

The Committee and supporters agreed to stand again and were promptly re-elected before they could change their minds!

After the formal business, Nigel Challis raised a number of areas for discussion, in order to gain a feeling for the members views. These included the possibility of the Club buying a number of dedicated races in 2008, which received the overwhelming support of the membership and the possibility of changing the Club's name and logo which got a more mixed reception and will be developed further. There was a plea for marshals and administrators for the Club's annual hill climb at Wiscombe Park. This is a great event and an important source of income for the Club so please get in touch as soon as possible.

After lunch, we resumed for the annual prize-giving ceremony and the winners are.......

Jan picked up the John Parker Trophy.

John Jones receives the Coupe Cinzano.

Gordon Russell with the Trevellick Trophy.
