Go Back to Marques and Men PageWright

Jimmy Wright built his special during 1950. It was very much based on a early Cooper lines, using two Fiat Topolino chassis welded back to back, a JAP engine and some home-made Cooper style bodywork. He only competed a few times; Brands Hatch 17th September 1950, third in non production car race and sixth in his heat of the Junior championship are all we have recorded, before returning to Speedway.

Jimmy  sold the car to Mick Holland in Christchurch, New Zealand in early 1951 and it was quickly moved on to Vic Blackburn who competed regularly. The car still exists in New Zealand.
